My apologies to the readers here and at RightFans, but I will be unavailable for the next week or so due to the untimely death of a close friend in my department. She and I didn’t always see eye to eye on philosophy, politics(in fact we never saw eye to eye there) or faith (she was an atheist), but she battled the demons of Bi-Polar disorder and chronic clinical depression for years and every day, no matter how bad she felt, she tried to do something nice for someone else. She was not perfect (no one is) but she was a good person and will be deeply missed.
Today, politics don’t matter. I will be heading back to New York tomorrow but will still not be making any blog posts until after her funeral. Thank you for your understanding.
