Via Instapundit: A Chance to Tell the GOP Leadership What You Think

The GOP is asking for input regarding how the party can be strengthened politically. If, like yours truly, you have some thoughts on this issue, I recommend going here and speaking up.

  1. I think the number one thing they need to do is pander like the dirty political whores we're fighting against on the left. We can't be the good guys anymore…it doesn't work. They have to get out there and find racially-aligned mascots who can relate to the problems and concerns of urban voters and we've got to go and tell them that the democrats want to keep them enslaved to the party and show them how they use racial politics to divide them up. We should be accusing the left of rabid racism and sexism. We should be playing up every Joe Bidenism…and we need to not be afraid to talk to people that hate us. The GOP has a bad habit of only going places where the crowd will be favorable and urban voters notice that.

Yep. And considering the GOP's many policy proposals that would actually help urbanites, that's not only a bad habit — it's a dumb one. See also: Edward Glaeser's recent article in City Journal.

  3. The problem is that it's much easier for a low-info voter to believe that the democrats' easy fix handout packages are good and other ideas are bad. The GOP has to work a LOT harder explaining how dangerous the handout system actually is and showing low-info voters that there are other ways of getting what they need to live.
